It is a human and sporting adventure, based on the values of passion, entrepreneurship and team spirit. We look forward to bringing four young women together this year and moving them on a high-tech boat. ”

Shirley Robertson: “Each edition is a challenge because these young sailors are very good in their own discipline and need to learn to sail as a united team in no time. This experience of team building is based on technical exchanges of navigation, search for common solutions as well as moments of shared passion, laughter and great motivation to succeed together. ”

The meeting of the team as well as the first training sessions took place in Valencia in April 2022. In June, the youngsters and their coach meet in Geneva upstream of the Mirabaud Golden Bowl for a sports and mental training before D-Day. On June 11, 2022, the team will be on the starting line on the Persico 69F.

Use of a monocoque on foil, the latest generation high-tech boat

The Persico 69F is a 6.90 meter carbon foil monotype. This racing boat, built by an Italian shipyard, is inspired by the flying gear of the famous America’s Cup.

Navigating a foil boat allows you to fly over the surface of the water and reach speeds of up to 30 knots. It is a boat that requires extreme precision at the helm and perfect coordination of maneuvers. The team spirit and perfect adaptation of each member are essential for the conductor, Shirley Robertson, to lead the crew to victory.
